Bahá’ís of Thurston County celebrated the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, on October 21, 2017.
The evening of program included music, dance and inspiring words. The program, entitled “The Light of Unity Festival”, was honored by Pete Kmet, mayor of Tumwater reading a letter to the Baha’is of Thurston Coun ty for their work on promoting unity and the education of children and youth. Excellent overview of the Bahá’i Faith on BBC

Recently, the BBC published an article with extensive excerpts from a BBC audio podcast containing an excellent overview of the Bahá’i Faith.  The BBC Podcast is the latest in the BBC World Service’s “Heart and Soul” series which aims to “explore different experiences of spirituality from around the world” while getting “beyond superficial notions of spirituality and religion”.

Last Continental Bahá’í Temple nears completion

The upcoming completion of a Bahá’í Temple in South America will mark an important milestone in the History of the Bahá’í Faith. On completion of this edifice, continental Bahá’í Houses of worship will have been located on the five continents of the Earth together with temples marking three other geographically important regions: Panama, Australia and – representing the important Island cultures – Western Samoa.

Baha’is around the World

The worldwide Baha’i Community is Diverse and Dynamic! Here we offer a glimpse into some of the things Baha’is are doing around the world.
More than 430 Baha’is from 12 different countries attended this Norwegian Baha’i Summer School.  The program involved workshops, lectures, prayer, meditation, music, and even a wedding.  Some of the themes of the sessions were “A Just World Order,” ” The Path of Divine Love,” “Social and Economic Development Projects,” “Consultation,” and “Health and Healing.”
